Page Numbers

Upload a PDF, choose where page numbers should appear and download the numbered document.

Add page numbers to reports, contracts and handouts

Use Page Numbers when a PDF needs clear references before printing, signing or sending: reports, proposals, contracts, manuals, meeting packs and training handouts. Numbering makes it easier to discuss “page 12”, check missing sheets and keep long documents in order.

Choose one of six positions, select the text format and set the first page if the cover should stay unnumbered. The preview updates on each page, so you can see whether the numbers sit in the header or footer without covering important content.

ClickPDF adds page numbers locally without uploading the PDF to a server. That is useful for internal reports, draft contracts and meeting packs that should not leave your device during preparation.

Page numbering questions

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Set First page to 2 or another page number. Pages before that value will not receive page numbers.

Which numbering formats are available?

The UI supports Number only, Page X and Page X of Y. The last format includes the total page count automatically.

Where can the numbers appear?

You can place numbers at the top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center or bottom right of each numbered page.

Will page numbers cover existing text?

The tool uses a fixed margin near the page edge. Check the previews before exporting, especially if the PDF already has dense headers or footers.
